I am sitting up here in Montana and we have snow on the ground. It has been below freezing all week so it hasn't gone away. I will be going to Mom's in the morning and I think it is colder and snowier there.
I'm sending hugs to Madi and Maiya. Madi, I'm glad you are feeling better. Miss you guys - take good care of each other!

Hi Allison & Madi,
It was so good to see you, although briefly, at Duke last month. I wish we could have talked...I looked for you when we got out, but you must have been seeing the doctor. I have been keeping up with Madi and will continue to pray for her. Please forgive me for not sending a thank you for the gifts you put on my porch last year. The framed poem is in my dining room and I think of you fondly when I see it.

Madi,
Hi! Kat sent me an email and said you were a very special friend of hers. I met Kat at White Fork Ranch where my daughter and I ride. I have loved horses since I was your age and just last year was able to buy one of my very own. My daughter, Emaline, likes to ride too. She is about your age - she will turn 8 in November. I bet you are excited to have Kat come back to school, so you can ride again. I hope you are having a wonderful summer and enjoying your new pool! You are a very beautiful girl with a bright smile. You keep smiling! Our thoughts and prayers are with you,
Kristen & Emaline
